Birthday Prayers

Today was another hard day.  The MRI results are revealing injury to Elizabeth's brain. The things that showed up on today's exam have not been visible previously. Elizabeth's neurosurgeon will be reviewing the results tonight or in the morning and will be meeting with the family to discuss the results in more detail.

Elizabeth is still breathing on her own and seems to recognize her family. Jacob went to hug her today and she lifted her hand to his face. He told her it was him and to scratch his chin and she did. Elizabeth has indicated she is in pain so the meds have been adjusted accordingly. This could explain why she has been less responsive the last couple of days.

Please be in constant prayer. Lift up prayers to the Lord throughout your day for Elizabeth and her family. Print her picture and hang it on your mirror to remind you to pray for her desperate situation.  Please continue to pray for this family. It has been the worst week of their lives and today was definitely the hardest day yet. We must continue to lift them in prayer and provide encouragement so that they do not lose hope. Many of you have ordered t-shirts. What an awesome way to show your support for this family and I know their spirits will be lifted when they see them! Remember we will be placing the order tomorrow so please order via PayPal by tonight at midnight. Your prayers are critical at this time.

PRAY. Pray that Elizabeth would be held in the palm of our Father's hand. Pray that He would comfort her and shield her from pain and suffering.

PRAY. Pray for the time the doctor will spend reading the latest exams. Pray that he would be knowledgeable and know how to best take care of our Elizabeth.

PRAY. Pray for the meeting that the family will have with Elizabeth's doctors tomorrow. Pray that God will prepare their hearts. Pray that God would give an immediate peace to this family. Pray that Bill, Michelle, Billy, Rachel and Jacob would lean on their faith and not their understanding. Pray that they would love and support each other.

PRAY. Pray that Elizabeth would have a miraculous healing! Pray that it would be unexplainable by doctors. Pray that Elizabeth would wake up and that her mind would be completely restored.  Pray that God would be glorified and that her testimony would strengthen the faith of all who know her and that people would know of the abundant grace of our Savior.

Psalm 66 talks about how God answers prayer. We must never fail to worship and give Him praise. He is our Rock and our Salvation!

PRAISE. Praise God for hearing our prayers. Praise Him for being all knowing and Holy. Praise Him for giving us Elizabeth 24 years ago and for the life she has lived and will continue to live.  Praise Him for the army of believers that are lifting their requests to Him nonstop.

There are many stories of healing in the Bible. My favorite is in Luke 18 vs 35-43. It tells about a blind man that sat along the roadside crying out for Jesus to heal him. Those around the blind man told him to be quiet, but the blind mind continued to cry out to his Savior to have mercy on him. Jesus stopped and said to the man: "Receive your sight; your faith has healed you."  Immediately the man received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God.  When all of the people saw it they also praised God.

We have had our prayers answered this week and must continue to give God glory and praise! He has rewarded our faith and will must continue to cry out to Him for hope!

  3. Happy Birthday to a sweet girl! Thinking and praying for you always. It breaks our hearts that this is how you have to spend your special day, but know that you and your family are being lifted up by the prayers of many. Stay strong...the Lord will lift you up in His Glory.

  5. How amazing our God is! I stumbled across Elizabeth's story thanks to one of my facebook friends and I cannot tell you how it has blessed me. I pray and will continue to pray that Elizabeth is in the best of care and that her doctors will have the knowledge and skills to properly care for her. I pray that her family will have the strength to endure these days and that they will have faith that our God will heal Elizabeth completely. It is amazing what can be accomplished with God on our side and I have complete faith that Elizabeth's work on this earth is only just beginning. I will pass Elizabeth's story on and will continue to pray for her. God does his most amazing work when we least expect it and can bring us out of the darkest moments. For Elizabeth's family- I pray for your strength and faith. Please continue to be faithful and remember that God is still and will always be in control. He is with you always in this journey and will continue to show you his greatness in all he does. Your precious girl has many many people praying for her and it is my hope that Elizabeth's story will be heard all over the world. I pray that those that do not know Jesus will hear of the mighty work he is doing in your lives and will believe. I pray that her story will make those that know Jesus even stronger in their faiths. I cannot tell you how her story came to me in the moment I needed a reminder of how amazing and precious our God is and I pray it does the same thing for others. For Elizabeth - I pray that you know how much you are loved, not only by your friends and family, but by those that don't even know you. I pray that you make a complete and speedy recovery and will emerge with no long-term effects. Your story is one of courage and un-ending faith. Please be strong in your journey and know that you are being prayed for everyday.

  9. This blog is the first thing that I check every morning and several times throughout the day so that I know how to pray for sweet Elizabeth. Her and her family are in my thoughts and prayers all day and many times throughout the night....I am praying praying praying for all of those involved in this situation and their each individual needs especially Elizabeths. Thank you Lord in advance for healing this beautiful girl!

    My mother and I had lunch today and lifted you and your beautiful family up during that time. We are constantly thinking of you and praying for you and the wonderful family we have known and loved for years. I especially pray for the doctors who are providing their care and knowledgeable hand to your healing. That they we wise and do all that is medically possible to help your recovery process- God's hand to guide them and his knowledge to flow through them. All other things we are calling for nothing short of a miracle in Jesus' name. Your beauty and grace in this life time are a testimony to his love and grace. We hope and pray lifting up that your life and this miracle will continue to be a testimony to his love and grace. We love you Elizabeth, and Parsley family.   12. Elizabeth cannot read this blog or it's comments right now. But in her heart and spirit she surely knows about all the prayers that are going to God and being passed on to her. Elizabeth, you know you have hundreds of family, friends, and others who know your situation that are praying for you and your recovery everyday. Probably every minute, every hour. The Lord will take of you, and surely will provide you a blessed recovery, as your time on earth is not over, your faith has more, much more to share with others with faith, and many who may not.

  13. Our God is so great so strong and so mighty theres nothing our God can not do... We prayed for Elizabeth in church yesterday morning.. even people who had no idea who she was, was crying out to God to heal this young lady and the annoyting of prayer was lifted up for her and many lifes were touched.. just a small church in whitehall arkansas was giving there service up for her and felt like God was calling us to do so... so we followed his will for us and what an amazing service... God is going to start pouring out prayers on her every day as her cup begins to over flow... she is going to make it and be the same girl God created 24 years ago... Stay strong family and friends and never give up hope... He is A God of all things and is possible of anything...

    "Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him who loves us" Romans 8:37.
    Love you very much and praying for you constantly. I know you will have many more wonderful birthdays and we thank God that you are still here. I trust completely in God's plan, and I am praying for you to be the same wonderful person you have always been.
