Praying for a Miracle

The sleep meds have not been lowered today as of yet. There are some concerns about Elizabeth's condition at this time and there are some tests being run right this minute to try and figure out what is going on and why Elizabeth is not waking like they are hoping she would.  We must never lose hope... and we cannot stop praying.  Please continue to pray for the urgent requests from the last post and add this:

Pray. That the tests that are being run at this moment would reveal to the doctors what the problem is. Pray that this problem would be fixable and that steps can be taken to correct it immeadiately.

  9. There is a statement, "Some prayer;some power. More prayer, more power. Much prayer, much power." I have no doubt that we are going to see the mighty wonder-working power of our Lord God Almighty in all of this. Elizabeth and Parsley Family-you are being lifted up! there is "much prayer" going up for you around the globe and I know we will see "much power" as our Lord works in the days ahead! -Micaela

  13. I am one of Elizabeth's cousins and we are all in emotional agony over this tragedy. Not only her friends but all of her extended family are using this blog as a resource for up-to-the-minute information on her condition due to the understandably limited access that we have to Bill and Michelle at this time. On behalf of the family and friends that are not geographically close to Arkansas I ask that anyone with any and all information(even second hand) to please post it on here. If they are running tests please let us know what the tests are for. What are the doctors communicating? Do they feel that her still not being conscience is typical and she just needs to heal more? Has she taken any steps forward or backwards? We are desperate for any details that anyone has about our dear Elizabeth's condition. We continue to pray and thank you to everyone for all their kind words.

  19. Just an update...Liz had a big break through today. I will try to be as accurate as possible.

Elizabeth opened her eyes up for a short time this afternoon and was able to follow some simple instructions from the nurse. She wiggled her fingers and toes on command. She doesn't stay awake very long each time because the sedation is slowly wearing off.

A new doctor had joined the team and found out that Elizabeth was in a lot of pain because of the accident. Before, every time she was taken off sedation she reacted aggressively, but now knowing the reason why she acted that way, they've started her on a morphine drip. This has helped tremendously! She is slowly waking up now more comfortably which is the reason for her improvement.

They are keeping her intubated for the time being until she wakes up completely and has good results from the EEG they recently performed on her. It detects all brain activity and will tell us, if any at all, any issues that may exist. But, because Liz followed direct commands today we are so very hopeful all results will be good!

All the love and prayer has brought Liz to this point. Her family thanks everyone for being so generous with the words of encouragement and love. Keep praying for her! Prayer is the strongest medicine.

    Isaiah 42:16
I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.

Just wanted to give you some encouragement from Gods word today because he is almighty and the lifter of our heads!!! " I wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor come from God alone. He is my refuge where no enemy can reach me. ". Psalm 62:5-7. These days are tough but if we lay it at Christ feet he will carry us thru!!! Love in Christ, a praying friend.
